Vision
We want to bring the richness of a visual language to all children.
ASL Inside
Missy Keast founded ASL Inside to produce and distribute engaging ASL materials that make learning fun and easy. ASL Inside has already produced 22 DVD products in 6 years and is currently producing additional children's stories. ASL Inside plans to release iPad interactive books before the middle of 2012.
Missy Keast, President
Born deaf into a hearing family that learned ASL, Missy's fluency is unmatched and her capabilities as an educator reflect her life-long passion and deep understanding of the language. Recognized internationally for her work with ASL, Missy has been referred to as the "Shakespeare" of sign language. Her clarity and complexity in the use of ASL has framed her work as an ASL educator and she has taught at many colleges, high schools, junior high schools and elementary schools. In addition to teaching, Missy is an accomplished actress and narrator. She has toured with the National Theater of the Deaf (NTD) and is a sought-after storyteller for bookstores, elementary schools, and libraries across the country. She is author of One Day: Our View, which documents the deaf culture with photographs taken around the word during a single 24-hour period in May 1996. The chief architect behind the ASL Inside DVD collections, her passion for ASL is the creative inspiration behind our growing product line.
Missy is also a featured sign columnist for DeafNation.
